Description:
Alpha Engineering completed the design and construction management for the re-construction of approximately 6,300 feet of Tonaquint Drive from Escalante Drive in Bloomington to 600 West Street. The street improvements include 15” to 36” storm drainage, water and irrigation pipeline replacement, utilities relocation, pavement, geogrid reinforcement, curbing, sidewalk and signing and striping on an 80-foot wide right-of-way. Due to the soils encountered on this project there was significant over-excavation and re-compaction required along with geogrid to stabilize the sub-grade. This created challenges with existing utility service and the installation of storm drainage facilities. Alpha Engineering also provided full time inspection and construction management for the project.
