WCWCD Pah Tempe Replacement Pipeline
Project:
WCWCD Pah Tempe Replacement Pipeline
Client:
Washington County Water Conservancy District
Description:
The Pah Tempe Replacement Pipeline project consisted of designing approximately 1,900 feet of 72-inch diameter steel pipe to cross the Virgin River. The original pipeline crossing went under the river and the pipeline had experienced corrosion due to the high mineral content of the water at the crossing location. The design included two steel bridge structures and abutments to allow for overhead stream crossings of the pipe. The lower structure was established on caissons.
